International Media Cultural Work
Research & Creation
Master’s program International Media Cultural Work (IMC) is directing numerous cooperations, research projects, and hosting scientific conferences. We encourage students to participate in them, and develop their individual research profile.
Lecturers and students can research together on topics related to e.g. “media as environments”, media aesthetic education, practical audience development, 3D audio/VR audio, Fulldome media, Soundscape research.
As Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality have become more and more important in media, we approach its popular formats and contents critically, explore their specific innovative potential on which we develop and create innovative artistic approaches. We present them on international events and conferences e.g. at ZKM (Center for Art and Media) in Karlsruhe, Centralstation Darmstadt, Museum Schloss Fechenbach (Dieburg), German Public Radio ARD (e.g. Hessischer Rundfunk, Südwestrundfunk), Sony Music, Deutscher Wanderverband, International Forest Art Festival, Fulldome Festival Jena, Hessentag, Planetaria Mannheim and Hamburg, Tonmeistertagung etc., and contribute with this pioneering work to an ongoing public discourse.
