General Program Information
The program focuses on the interdisciplinary study of AR, VR, and mixed reality technologies. It integrates artistic, technological, cultural, and methodological dimensions to prepare students for careers in immersive media production.

Application Process
For international applicants: January 15, 2025 – August 1, 2025
For German applicants: April 1, 2025 – September 1, 2025
Applications for international applicants are submitted via Uni Assist, and for German applicants, through the university’s online portal.
Yes, you need to submit academic qualifications, English language proficiency proof, and a digital portfolio of work samples.
Academic and Entrance Requirements
For international applicants: A valid university entrance certificate (such as the high school diploma), proof of English proficiency (e.g., B2 certificate or equivalent), and artistic aptitude.
For German applicants: An applicable university entrance certificate for Hessen, proof of English proficiency, and artistic aptitude (if the certificate is not yet available).
The examination consists of two parts: 1) Review of your portfolio (3 work samples related to AR/VR), and 2) If the portfolio is accepted, you will undergo an online examination and interview.
Samples related to AR/VR design such as 3D experiences, 360° videos, concept art, virtual/augmented reality applications, 2D/3D graphics, storyboards, prototypes, and physical models. Ensure all files are flawless and contain your name.
You can provide a B2 certificate, or show an average grade better than "average" in English on your high school report. Sometimes, if you have already completed another course conducted in English, and if you can provide supporting documents to show this, that will be accepted as well.
If you do not have the certificate by the deadline, you can still apply using your last two school reports and submit a certification of enrolment from your school.
The entrance examination is online and consists of a portfolio review, followed by an online interview if the portfolio is accepted.
